Body of work
Heike’s artistic practice is in the area of Performance, Choreography and Screendance. The outcomes range from choreographies and live performances which often comprise projection, to screendances and installations. Key themes include interdisciplinary practice, artistic collaboration, and somatic and embodied research methods, focusing on philosophies of space and place, emotional geography, site-specific inquiry, romanticism and visual and aural rhythmic structures. This interdisciplinary work crosses the genres of sequential narratives, digital media, dance and performance and reaches audiences in traditional venues, public spaces, live and online.
